Monster of the Week: Introduction

My Story

I've been working on this game for a few years, and it's finally getting close to finished. It's going to see print but I need a bit more money to allow it to be exactly how I want it.

The Impact

The money will go towards three things.

1. Editing. The text is good as it is, but I'd prefer to get a professional editor to really polish it before release. 

2. Art. I have an artist working, and I need to pay him. At the moment the commission is for a bare minimum of art for the game (cover and character archetypes). These funds will pay for those, and if there's enough money, for more illustrations.

3. My initial print costs.

What We Need & What You Get

Whether the goal is reached or not, the game will see print. However, it will be much better if I can pay for professional editing and more illustration.

The game will be printed in softcover, and will probably be A5 sized, and around 180 pages. The cover will be coloured and the interior will be black and white.

All funders will get access to the electronic beta of the rules, to tide you over until the final version is available.

Estimated time of print is 1-2 months after the campaign closes. I plan to have the final electronic version ready at the closing date (end of January) and will start on the printing process then.

The custom dice will be six-sided dice with the "1" face replaced with an monster. You can see a prototype in the update and gallery tabs. PDF funders will get first dibs on the dice that aren't shipped to print funders, too, although I might have to ask you for postage to get them to you.
