“One week on the ground with one Jewish family/One week on the ground with a Palestinian family…at ground zero: The Israeli/Gaza border.”

Air raid sirens rip through the city streets of Ashkelon, Ashdod, Beersheba, Rehovot, Netivot and Sderot, six cities with a combined population of over a million people. Located in southern Israel, the residents have a mere fifteen seconds before death or dismemberment rains down upon them in the form of Kassam and Katyusha rockets and in the southern most towns, mortar shells.

In Gaza, helicopter gunships and warplanes strike back.

The filmmakers will examine these modern day war-zones in depth, after the events of Operation Cast Lead, covering the average Israeli as well as Palestinian politicians thoughts about the current situation as well as those of the average Jewish and Arab citizen.

This is intended to be an actual, newsworthy piece…something objective and not propaganda for either side.

(Not only that, but the documentary is coupled with a humanitarian mission. These people need help in a tangible form, and they need it now in the form of refurbished bomb shelters, company for shell-shocked children, the elderly and more.)

The film has a budget of $500K. Donations to this project can be tax deductible, and EVERY DONATION COUNTS!

We will be starting here with an initial raise of $100K to begin with, and as each $100,000 is reached, we will go to the next raise until we have reached our $500,000.00 mark.

Monies will be used for salaries, equipment, travel, editing, engaging the services of a well-known celebrity for our host/narrator, and then getting the film into the major film festivals around the world, and finally, for bringing volunteers to the area for our planned humanitarian mission.

We are continuing to look at private donors, but our belief is that we will not negate any funding opportunity for a project that we are so passionate about. Thus, crowd funding (ala through Indiegogo.com) is a natural resource as we’d like to make our passion your passion too, and allow you the satisfaction of helping us out!

We need $100,000 by November of this year. (2010) That money is going toward equipment and securing celebrity talent for our host and narrator respectively.

We are in talks with certain celebrities to come on board as both host, and narrator for the program at this time but outside of their scheduling needs, many want to know that the program is at least partially funded before agreeing. Again, we need your help!
