We're making a film!

And we�re looking for your support to get our project off the ground. Filming starts August 4th, 2011 so we need to act fast. 

 

The Story

Set over one evening in summer, Misogyny/Misandry follows the parallel narrative of two (potentially) star-crossed lovers. Jeff pines for Alex, but to get to her he must navigate dinner with his mother and aunts, various transit connections, and ultimately his own nerves. For Alex, it's another night of many, spent dodging the trappings of chauvinism, in the hopes of something, or someone more worthwhile. 

 

Who we are

Erik Anderson (Producer, Writer, Director) and Josh Usheroff (Producer, Cinematographer) are teaming up again to work on their second feature film with the working title �Misogyny/Misandry�. Erik has produced, written and directed several short films that have been presented at festivals across North-America and Europe. His first feature film, "The Second Times of Troubles", has already started the festival circuit. The film was awarded "Best Feature Film" at the WT Os International Film Festival in Norway. Josh received a BA in Communications Studies from Concordia Universty and specialized in video production. Josh has extensive experience as a producer, director and cinematographer. His short films have screened at the 2010 Olympics, Cannes, SXSW, Festival du Neauveau Cinema and more... Most importantly, this team is passionate about their work and will do just about anything to get this film made!

There are three main ways that you can help us out:

 

Fund our project

We could really use your financial assistance! Donations will go towards feeding the crew, renting lighting and camera equipment, and covering additional expenses like gas, hard-drive storage, and final mastering of the film. Filming starts August 1st, and we would like to raise at least $5,000 before we start filming. 

 

Work on set

We�re still looking for qualified crew who can assist in the technical production positions or simply as a production assistant. We're planing on filming over the first two weeks in August. If you live in Montreal, please contact info@blackboxproductions.tv for details.
