We live in a world where a child dies every three seconds from a preventable illness, where half a million women die every year in childbirth, and where 110 million children do not even have the opportunity to learn how to read the books that tell them about the 1.2 billion people worldwide living on less than $1.00 a day.

Millennium Villages is the only development project with a comprehensive approach to achieving the Millennium Development Goals, eight measurable initiatives for tackling extreme poverty around the world.

Millennium Villages works with local people all across Africa to diversify agriculture, improve infrastructure, boost economic productivity (especially among women), improve health care and education, and make primary education accessible to all children.

My film(s) will tell the story of this incredible initiative in Rwanda, both from the perspective of those implementing it and those benefiting from the programs. Ending extreme global poverty begins with understanding the positive approaches and why they are effective, and that’s exactly what I intend to portray.

My intention is not to sell the film, but to distribute it and raise awareness and financial support for these incredible programs.
