About Me

 

Michealene Cristini Risley is a filmmaker, writer, and entrepreneur, who has created some of the largest deals in consumer products. She launched the first-ever branded maternity line in association with Adidas. At Sega, she championed the Girls Task Force and produced over 100 episodes of animation. Through her production company, Fresh Water Spigot, she wrote, produced, and directed the award winning short film called Flashcards. In 2006, she was invited to the Sundance Producers Conference. Michealene is also a regular blogger on The Huffington Post and released her first co-authored book This Is Not The Life I Ordered in March 2007, which has sold over 35,000 copies. Currently, Michealene is directing a documentary titled TAPESTRIES OF HOPE, which focuses on Betty Makoni and the Girl Child Network in Zimbabwe.
