Bio: Michealene Cristini Risley is a filmmaker, writer, and entrepreneur, who has created some of the largest deals in consumer products. She launched the first-ever branded maternity line in association with Adidas. At Sega, she championed the Girls Task Force and produced over 100 episodes of animation. Through her production company, Fresh Water Spigot, she wrote, produced, and directed the award winning short film called “Flashcards”. In 2006, she was invited to the Sundance Producers Conference. Michealene is also a regular blogger on The Huffington Post and released her first co-authored book “This Is Not The Life I Ordered” in March 2007, which has sold over 35,000 copies. Currently, Michealene is directing a documentary titled TAPESTRIES OF HOPE, which focuses on Betty Makoni and the Girl Child Network in Zimbabwe.

Just watched the trailer for TofH. Wow. I'm dying to know how the crew got out of jail and the footage was recovered! ...or was it? Does it have a release date yet?
We got out of jail-believe it or not, by a guy I met on facebook. We plan to finish by August...and yes, we got all the footage out. This buy on fB had a friend at the CIA. Can you believe that???
I just invited a friend to join IGG who is supposed to do a record for a girls choir from Kenya. All the girls in the group are sex camp rescues, and the proceeds go to kee p their shelter running. If he joins, I thought your projects might be able to do some cross-marketing for each other. I showed him your trailer and he really wants to see the movie.
