‘Memoir of a Medicated Child’ is the first story ever to take
parents into a 28-year odyssey of a child wrongly diagnosed by
psychiatrists. A nightmarish world of professional incompetence and mind-numbing psychotropic drugs led a competent child into substance abuse, boys homes, mental institutions, and finally, prison. It was
behind bars where this victim got his mind back to the world of the sane
and launched him on a quest to expose the psychiatric atrocities
affecting millions of children today.

Memoir of a Medicated Child is the first documented case exposing the long-term effects of a child wrongly diagnosed in the mental health system. In 1975 psychiatrists began prescribing psychotropic medications to 14-year-old Mark Black. The pills soon caused insidious side effects
mimicking psychotic disorders that resembled schizophrenia and bipolar disorders. The professionals then treated these medication-induced
disorders with more than 19 mind-numbing drugs over the next 28 years.
Checks and balances ostensibly exist to protect the public and their children from these destructive side effects. However, Marks rare documentation powerfully illustrates the lack of safeguards existing under the status quo of the mental heath system. Shockingly, Marks
documents reveal that not one psychiatrist ever challenged the diagnoses or inappropriate medications prescribed.

Adventure Film Productions Canada wants to produce a short film approximately 20 to 30 minutes on negligent psychiatric practices. It will be shot in High Definition to attract TV sales and it will be entered into various film festivals.
This short is intended to attract funding to produce an hour and a half film. We need $10,500 to produce this short. The crew will work at a greatly reduced fee.
