Meg Pinsonneault is an award-winning, festival screened director and screenwriter in Los Angeles. She dabbles in everything from dramatic narratives to documentary to stop motion animation. She is the founder of the budding production company, Thirsty Girl Films, which won the 2010 Filmmaker of the Year award from RAW: Natural Born Artists, as well as acting semi exclusive content provider for Mubi Garage. Thirsty Girl's award-winning short stop motion animation, "A Lost Love Story," plays during the preshow at Cinebarre Theaters with locations nationwide. Meg is also an avid screenwriter, with 5 features under her belt and a script currently circulating the studio system. Likewise, Meg is currently in production on a compelling feature documentary, Gwapa (Beautiful), about a Filipino family's journey to help their three children with facial deformities, which recently won indieWIRE's "Project of the Month" for December 2011. Thirsty Girl Films also recently completed a unique short period thriller, "Feast of the Foolish," shot on the RED. Both films were successfully crowd-funded through Indiegogo.com and Meg speaks publicly about her crowd sourcing experiences. She has been featured on websites like IndieWIRE, Film Courage, Take Part, Mubi Garage, Film Radar, and Kidult. In her spare time, Meg volunteers with the Writer's Guild of America and the Central Pennsylvania Film Commission as well. An Emerson College alumni, she is also an award-winning photographer, art director, and published poet. Meg has too many hobbies, but loves them all.
