Mark Cray is an award
winning, working actor born and raised in Minnesota. Throughout his childhood
Mark performed in many theatrical plays including Brigadoon and The Sting along
with acting in several productions for the Prairie Fire Childrens Theatre. As a competitor in High School He went to
the state and national championships as a Competitive Speech contestant in the
humorous interpretation category.
After graduation he joined
the Army as a Airborne Combat Engineer and got to visit such far away places as
South Korea, Germany, Hawaii, France and Panama. Sampling many different cultures and ideas. After outstanding service to our country
Mark took his new experiences and love of acting and traveled down from the
land of ice and snow to expand upon his craft at University of Toledo.
At the University of Toledo
Mark got his first real taste in film with the independent short film
"Weeding the Garden". And
after his first year in school suddenly had to depart training and filming in order
to pursue fatherhood. Something he says
hell never regret.
The Acting bug never left
Mark and in 2004, with the loving support of his wife Colleen he returned to
his calling of entertainment and in the last 6 yrs has been running amok across
the Independent film scene playing every time of bad guy and villain
imaginable. Play in such films as The
Grindhouse Massacre, "The Horror Convention Massacre", (recipient of the "Golden Coconut"
for best horror film at the Miami Underground Film Festival in March of 2007)
and "Killer" a short film by Carl Merritt Productions for ChillerTV..
A few of his other credits include
"Voodoo Rising" from Fright Teck Pictures, as well as Divine
Intervention, a short film from Legacyverse productions.and skit work for Space
For Rent TV. He is currently working on the movies "HellKittens" by
Rottweiler Production, Teenage Axe Massacre by Nightmare Films, a part in the
Movie Abe's Tomb 2: Feral Vengeance by Carl Merritt Productions, and Never Escape by Mancinetti
pictures.
Mark also attends many
conventions and events throughout the year and its at The Indie Gathering that
Mark Met Anthony Spadaccini During an actors competition. Mark and Anthony talked about his project
The Ritual, which lead to the introduction of his character John Craven into
the Head Case universe and was so well received Mark was brought back a
second time to shoot Post Mortem
Mark continues to act and
helps produce film projects and is currently in production and will be acting
in the Action Horror Film Girl Scout Cookie (the movie) starring some of
todays most prolific and talents names in independent film.
