LuminAID:
Give Light, Get Light
About the
Project
LuminAID Lab is proud to introduce
the LuminAID light: a solar-rechargeable, inflatable lamp
that packs flat and inflates to create a lightweight, waterproof
lantern. Safe, sustainable, and portable, the LuminAID light provides up to six hours of LED light,
ideal for disaster relief situations, recreational use outdoors, or in the home
as an extra light source. Our mission: make light more affordable, sustainable,
and available for everyone.
Join us in the Give Light,
Get Light campaign as we seek to launch the LuminAID light and distribute it
in January 2012 to you and to our community projects. Take a LuminAID light with you on your next adventure or trip,
tuck it away in your first aid kit, or string them together to light your path
ahead. $25 pre-buys you one light and gives another to someone in need.
Your gift
of light will give one student 4 more hours to study at night. It will allow
one small business owner to stay open for a few extra hours. Give in honor
of loved ones for the holidays and we will e-mail you a tribute card to let them know. Give
in bulk, and we will custom print your logo on the LuminAID lights you donate.
Stay connected through our community map. Send us your photos of travels
with the LuminAID light and we will post them on our blog.
Forbes has
called it: a possible alternative to Thomas Edisons 1879 electric discovery
that has the potential to change, not only the light bulb, but also the world.
Help us make this world brighter. #GiveLight.

rural schools, homes and small-business owners. On our blog, well detail
progress through video and pictures of all of our community projects. If you
are an organization interested in receiving and distributing lights, please contact
us at info@luminAIDlab.com.
