Our Story
Heeeey! We're Love You To Death, a power-pop band from Toronto, Canada thats been around a number of years (formerly as the Pettit Project). We've always done pretty much uuurrrrthing by ourselves... from producing and releasing albums, to booking shows, to getting on radio and TV. With the way that the music business is these days, thats getting harder and harder to do, as bands have so much of their music given away for free and shows are getting lousy... yeah we went there.
We thought this time around it would be super cool to do a new album entirely funded by friends and fans, giving back as much as we possibly can in LYTD-reward to those who help us out. So we're giving everybody the opportunity to contribute to our next album "If You Want To See God LOL... Text Him Your Plans", which we've already started to record. The money will help us to pay for production costs, manufacturing of CDs, and throwing a great CD release show. And depending on the contribution, our backers will be rewarded quite handsomely. Hey, we have lots of old merch, lots of B-sides, and the time to throw parties and write songs for our current and new LYTD lovers.

The Impact
We can't do this right without your help! Production and manufacturing costs can get crazzzzy, and we put out so many damn albums that its starting to get tough to keep this whole band thing up. We have so much love and music to give, that we really just need the help in order to get new music out to the fans.
What We Need & What You Get
So we're trying to raise $10,000, as we've guess that this is about the right amount of money to let us do this album up right. We have our own studio, therefor SO much of a regular album-recording cost is covered there at least. But we're doing drums onto some big, fat, oldschool tape, which requires us to rent out another studio. We also go to Silverbirch Productions for mastering because Andy can do much better of a job at getting our tracks all punchy and loud for you than we can ourselves. That quality costs. We're also renting some special gear to aid in production. However the biggest cost for us, as always, will be in the artwork and actual CD production. For those of you who have kept track, we weren't even able to manufacture physical CDs for our last album due to production costs. Don't we all still love having a nice, touchable, better-sounding CDs still? Finally, we'd like to throw a CD-release party worthy of our new tracks. Your help would make that happen.
I suppose if we don't make our goal, we'll still do our best to do what we always do and get it out somehow, but certainly won't be able to afford CDs or some of the special production we have planned.
But if you can help us out, not only will you get the new album in some form or another BEFORE the rest of the world.... BUT you could get some of our older albums, special unreleased songs, signed merch, OR EVEN A PRIVATE LYTD PARTY AND/OR SONG WRITTEN ABOUT AND FOR YOU! Ohhhhhh!!! Check out the perks!
