Lotus & Lightning is a documentary which explores a rapidly developing Vietnam through the art and life of one man and his family. Nguyen Ngoc Khnh is considered to be a national treasure of Vietnam. His is not only the voice of past generations, but also the voice of a nation and its people. Through his music he has been able to capture the steady pulse of Vietnam, consistently reminding them of the beauty and uniqueness of their history.
Jane Coyle has devoted the past 20 years caring for the children of Vietnam. Through her organization, The Vietnam Fund for Education, Music, and infrastructure, she has not only been able to help feed and educate Vietnamese children who would otherwise have gone without, she has been an inspiration. She has also been inspired to help these children retain a sense of their heritage.
Join Jane, Lubosh, Brent, and Cory on their journey to document one familys quest to keep Vietnams cultural legacy relevant for future generations.

This first round of fundraising is for pre-production costs in anticipation of the team's trip to Vietnam to complete principal filming.
All proceeds from this documentary go to the Vietnam Fund for Education, Music, and Infrastructure, a charitable organization dedicated to the children of Vietnam, and your donations are tax deductible to the highest extent permitted by law.
