Synopsis:
Based on the 1914 songbook by Alfred Moffat, Little Songs of Long Ago is the first animated short film from Studio Luke 15 about a lonely, self-concious girl searching for friends and acceptance. The film weaves the melodies and characters of the songbook together to create a touching tale set in early America at the tiny colony of Jamestown, Virginia. Audiences will recognize classic characters and songs including London Bridge Is Falling Down, Old King Cole, Simple Simon and The Crooked Man, and be introduced to old characters and melodies they might not have heard, including Little Polly Flanders and Little Jumping Joan.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TEST AUDIENCE!!
You’ve heard of those focus groups where filmmakers test parts of a movie to make sure everything’s cool? Well, we need one. Become a friend of ours and you can give us your input on our film. Who knows? We could change our film based on something YOU suggest!

| What makes Little Songs of Long Ago different:
Studio Luke 15 is led by creative "prodigal sons", returning to their respective artistic crafts from an experience in the sales and business world. We are so happy to be humbly returning home to our film-making and musical brothers and sisters. We also see our experience away as an advantage. We feel more capable to lead our film and our company responsibly and efficiently, as well as being creative and skillful.
True to the Bible verse our studio is named for, we have been embraced upon our return. We are working with the Amazement Square Children's Museum with this project. Not only will our film premiere at the museum, we are working with their educational department to develop workshops based on art, music, and history, all based on the film.
Every year, Lynchburg, Virginia (where we are!) hosts a large cultural event called Kaleidoscope that lasts an entire month. The largest part of that event is Day In The Park, which is held in Miller Park in September. The larger industries and organizations in the region will have booths with free stuff and games for kids. Special thanks to Jennie Jacobs. Thanks to her, Little Songs of Long Ago will have a promotional booth at this huge local event. Check back for pictures!
We're also developing a teaser trailer for fundraising purposes for Internet release. Let's just say that we've got a surprise that will leave every animator and indie film-maker green with envy. Thanks Heidi!
