Our Story

My daughter, West Devaney, (age 7 1/2) wrote an impressive short story and we are helping her to make her first movie!

'Lily and The Messy Monster' is the story of a little girl who finds a lovable monster living in her house. The problem is that the Monster keeps making 'messes' and Lily keeps getting blamed for them. Lily is forced to ask her new best friend to leave. The film is about acceptance, friendship, and learning to grow. Several professional artists, filmmakers, and actors are donating their talents (and time) to see this story come to life. We are seeking funding to cover basic production costs. Thank you!

The Impact

This film will delight both child and adult audiences. The film will enter into children film festivals and be available online. We were so amazed at how touching her story was that we wanted to share it others. We hope this film inspires both children and adults to dream up their own stories and bring them to life.

What We Need & What You Get

We have secured actors, a camera man, a costume designer, sound man, a location and the shoot dates. We are hoping to raise $2,000. The funds will be used to feed the cast and crew, rent equipment, rent/buy props and pay the technicians a small wage. We want to thank all of you backers so much that we are offering credits in the movie as well as rewards. Rewards are as follows:

      Receives a free pizza dinner with West Devaney in her favorite Brooklyn Pizza restaurant

      Receives 5 tickets to the premiere at the films first festival

      Receives an Executive Producer credit in the opening credits of the film
