Liberty Lane Productions was formed in spring of 2008 by several former co-workers at a movie theater located on (you guessed it) Liberty Lane in Pinellas County, Florida. By some interesting luck, an aspiring screenwriter, an aspiring director/editor, a couple of aspiring producers, a couple of aspiring actors and an aspiring composer/musician all ended up working together at the theater at the same time, and for years afterwards they kicked around the idea of making a serious film together (God knows how many un-serious films they had already made). Dozens of screenplays, hundreds of hours of film school class time and thousands of hours of production assistance experience later, the bunch finally regrouped to self-produce A Piece of My Heart. The short was completed during the summer of 2008 and LLP has been on the hunt for feature funding while submitting the short to the film festival circuit.
