About Me

 

Lauren Carara, a native of San Mateo, California, graduated in 2006 from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a B.A. in Recording Arts. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Dean’s Award in Recording Arts and received the Recording Arts Program Award. She was also selected as a Sony Fellow for the prestigious TAG program, which includes a year-long mentorship with Academy Award Winner Bob Beemer. Lauren has gained a great amount of editorial and business experience through editing the sound for more than 10 films and working at Technicolor Sound Services, Danetracks, Inc., Lions Gate Entertainment, and Digital Rights Agency. Presently, Lauren is assisting filmmaker and entrepreneur Michealene Cristini Risley at Fresh Water Spigot, a production company focusing on subjects or individuals that educate and inspire social change.
