Our Story

Laura is a 13 year old girl who has always had an aptitude for writing, her English grade at school is one of the highest, at 13 she's already writing at an A* Grade. She has written a number of short stories until recently, now she wants to embark on her first of three novels, which follow a spy thriller theme pitching east against west. 

At present Laura is writing the book by hand and then using the computers at school to produce her book during her lunchtime. 

The reason for this campaign is to seek funding to purchase her a laptop so she can continue to create the book at home rather than the school Library.

The Impact

We are hoping that with the help we get here we can get Laura's book published, and once the first one is published the other two should follow easily. These books will appeal to a wide audience range and will bring a lot of joy to many. If the campaign is not successful then Laura will have to continue working on her book during the school day, rather than at home due to the technical nature of this campaign.

What We Need & What You Get

Laura Needs a laptop - approx $1200 USD in order to continue working on her books. She will need a laser printer to produce the documents - approx $300 USD. Stationary - approx $200 USD (this includes art materials so she can make her own cover) also a certain amount will be required for publishing the book.

In return for you help, Laura will give you a signed copy of her book once it is published. Laura will also send those that help regular updates on the book and sneak peeks at the story
