Sam Bargo is just your average all American, not someone you would expect to travel to an alternate universe and be caught up in an alien civil war. But this just happens to be the case. On this journey with him are Laurie, his girlfriend, and Kridor, an alien, who was a government test subject here on earth. On this journey, their strength and sanity will be tested as they are imprisoned by an oppressive alien government and fight to return home.

This film is inspired by the classic serials of the 1930s and ’40s. Serials were short films that were typically shown before a feature, each ending in a cliffhanger. People would come to the same theater each week to see the continuation of the last episode. Some of the most notable serials are: Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers and Captain Marvel. More recently these serials have inspired popular films such as Star Wars, Flash Gordon (1980) and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

We intend to take the feeling of these old serials and incorporate them into our film, which will also end on a cliffhanger. We hope to find people who are as passionate and interested in this genre as we are who will help us continue the adventures of Sam Bargo.

This film is being made as my senior project at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I am pursuing a bachelor of fine arts in film and television.
