LONDON GROUND consists of a web series of short experimental films directed by film maker Claudia Tomaz and made in collaboration with artists of different practices (music, film, art, activism) in London underGROUND. The films will be distributed online on MICRO FILMS web tv.

The artists invited are not mainstream ones, but people with dreams and their feet on the ground, people whose ideas and practices are unusual and original. They use tools and media available nowadays, and use their art (doesn’t matter whichever) to communicate ideas, to connect with people, to make a change in the world. The films will be short and made in collaboration with those artists.
Micro films will be 3-10 minutes; quality and originality are important! Films may result in documentaries, essay films or visual poems.
Note that films will NOT be promotional videos, they will be the result of conversations, sharing ideas and practices, the result of an ENCOUNTER.
LONDON GROUND will give EXPOSURE to artists, collectives, art organizations and communities through showing their work online to an expanding international audience. Films will be showcased online at MICRO FILMS WEB TV for free!
Towards a sustainable film making…
We want to make quality films that can be made modestly, in digital, in a short time.
Expected duration for LONDON GROUND project: 6 month or more… we think the project will grow organically.
As soon as a micro film is done, the film is uploaded on MICRO FILMS WEB TV which will allow us to maintain a direct relationship with the people with whom we MAKE the films and the people who WATCH it while creating a platform that allows us to make films every day.
