Help us print a collected volume of the "Rogue Soup and Bug" mini-comics. It was written by Rand Borden and illustrated by Jeremy Arambulo. It is an action/comedy using characters from Kaiju Big Battel and parodying the manga "Lone Wolf and Cub". The 176 page book is finished and ready for printing. We need your help raising the funds to print the first edition.

The Story

It is the story of characters from Kaiju Big Battel that takes place away from the wrestling ring. Kaiju fighter Kung-Fu Chicken Noodle has decided to rase the orphaned baby Sky Deviler, who has been prophesied to become the greatest kaiju fighter of all time. He takes him on the road to teach him the ways of Kung-Fu. Soup is hired to assassinate a rogue scientist and takes the baby along.

The evil Dr. Cube has decided the future power of the baby will be his to control and attempts to forceable seize the baby using his army of Minions and Monsters.

The story behind the story

Kaiju Big Battel is a Boston/NY based collaborative that is mostly known for its live action spectacles featuring elaborate monsters fighting it out in a miniature city that is placed inside a wrestling ring. Often sited as a product of the cultural feedback loop between American and Japanese pop culture. You can go to kaiju.com to learn more about us.

We also produce a lot of video content and this comic started out as an ambitious film project. Early on it was split into two directions; the comic and the film. The script was given to artist Jeremy Arambulo and he was told to do what he liked with it. He was left in the dark about the film version and the people working on the film wouldn't see his version till it was complete. It was my experiment in different perspectives of the same material.

In case your wondering the film is about half way done but that is a whole other fundraising project for a later time.
