GOOD SAMARITAN VISION ORPHANAGE AND SCHOOL
Hi there, we need your help. Our School’s 20 year old minibus has broken down and it will cost $582 (375, 427) to fix. We use the bus for everything; collecting food supplies, taking children to hospital and getting the older pupils to the nearest senior school.
If you can make a donation we would be delighted. You can use Visa and Mastercard here or to make a PAYPAL donation use the button below.
WHAT IS GOOD SAMARITAN VISION?
Good Samaritan Vision started life as a rescue centre for destitute and trafficked children and has evolved into an orphanage and school for Kenyan children from 0 16.
WHERE IS IT?
GSV Orphanage is 5 kms from the nearest town of Kilifi on the North Kenyan coast. It is a two hour drive from Kenyas second city Mombassa.
FUNDING
GSV aims to be a self sustaining community project. It raises money by leading nature walks for tourists. But in recent years (owing to civil unrest and the global recession) tourist numbers have declined. This has lead to a substantial fall in income. Places like GSV survive on such meagre resources that even a relatively small sum like $600 is impossible to find – unless it is diverted from the food budget.
PLEASE MAKE A DONATION NO MATTER HOW SMALL TO HELP THE CHILDREN OF GOOD SAMARITAN VISION CONTINUE TO EDUCATE THEMSELVES OUT OF POVERTY. THANK YOU.
