Like many a childs dream, Beate Antares left her native Poland to join the circus. Actually, it was her parents, but even as a toddler touring with Circus Viola/Mundeling in Norway, Beates life has been one colorful exhibition under the big top.

Following in her parents musical footsteps, Beate fostered her talent for the violin at the acclaimed Dortmund Music Conservatory, and underwent rigorous Ballet training at the Royal Academy of Dance, performing professionally at age twelve.
Beates passion for the screen as well as the stage ignited her to move to Los Angeles where she studied Film and Theatre at Loyola Marymount University while forming a production company, Antithesis Films, where Beate cut her teeth making short films and producing music videos.

Beates talent behind the scenes was soon recognized by Grosse Point Blank director George Armitage, who hired Beate as Director of Development for his Taormina Productions, a position she held for five years.

Eager to get back behind the camera, Beate formed Illuminado Pictures, directing and producing again. Some of her recent and upcoming projects include Joy Division, a feature film set in a WWII concentration camp brothel, the web-based comedy series The Lispstains , and The Shaolin Curse, a documentary on the Shaolin Monks of Chinatown, where she's a student.
Thats right: Beate knows Kung Fu.

Beate will forever retain her childhood passion for the Circus, it will
always remain the place where she discovered her love for the arts.
