After managing recycling programs for nearly a decade, Jeremy began to interview many unique recyclers in the tight-knit San Francisco recycling community. Two years later, and after many hours of interviews and editing, Jeremy completed his first documentary, The Recyclergy, which would screen in 20 film festivals, including the Napa Sonoma Wine Country Film Festival and the Washington DC Independent Film Festival.
Jeremy’s film won several awards, including Best Documentary at the Marin County Festival of Short Film and Video and the Reel Earth Film Festival in New Zealand. The short documentary participated in KQED’s Truly California series and Joe and Harry Ganz’ Crushed Planet, both online distribution programs. Ironweed Films distributed The Recyclergy on DVD in April 2009.
Jeremy continues to pursue his newfound passion for documentary film making with The Legend of Toilet-Seat Charlie.
