Our Story

I'm a franco-american filmmaker with 10 years of experience. I went to Haiti on FEBRUARY 20th  to shoot a documentary film following my long time friend CLAIRE FALISSE and her association Prométhée Humanitaire that supports "CHEMINS LA VIE / PATHS  OF LIFE", a STREET CHILDREN local association in Jacmel. I will join Claire in one of the towns that was devastated by the 2010 earthquake. We will get a close eye view of the what she's doing there and of course meet the boys, listen to their stories. After getting funding for a piece of land near Jacmel, Claire's intention is to raise enough money to build an orphanage there for 20 orphaned children.

Cinéaste américano-francais avec 10 ans d'expérience, je reviens de Haïti  ou j'ai tourner tourner un film documentaire qui suit CLAIRE FALISSE mon amie de longue date et les efforts de son association Prométhée Humanitaire qui finance une association locale offrant un CENTRE ("Chemins La Vie") aux enfants des rues de Jacmel, une des villes dévastée par le séisme de 2010. Nous verrons de près  les efforts de claire sur place et bien sûr rencontrerons les garçons du centre, écouterons leurs histoires. L'intention de Claire est de réunir assez d'argent pour construire un orphelinat pour héberger 20 enfants victimes  du séisme de 2010.

The Impact

This documentary film aims to raise awareness on the situation of Haiti through a personal POV of someone (CLAIRE) who, just like you and me, has a normal life but wants to contribute and do something for a great cause. After witnessing first hand on my end in Vietnam, the addiction that comes when you start to help the most deprived endangered human beings, I saw the difference one can make in a street child's life by just giving some of your time, and want to continue promoting this idea. The once beautiful little town of Jacmel is also in the process of being rebuilt from the ground up and it will certainly play a key part in the future of these kids.

Ce film documentaire vise à sensibiliser le public sur la situation en Haïti à travers une vision personnelle de quelqu'un (CLAIRE) qui, tout comme vous et moi, mène une vie normale, mais veut contribuer et faire quelque chose pour une grande cause. Après avoir été témoin moi même au Vietnam, de la joie qui survient quand on commence à aider les plus démunis des êtres humains, j'ai vu la différence qu'on peut faire dans la vie d'un enfant de la rue, en donnant simplement un peu de son temps. Je veux continuer a promouvoir cette idée. La ville de Jacmel, autrefois magnifique est également en train d'être reconstruite et cette reconstruction jouera certainement un rôle clé dans l'avenir de ces enfants.
