A vampire clan is in search of a warrior to battle a powerful slayer in 1636. Their leader goes to a land of warriors accompanied by his vampire servant and he instruct him to wait for sundown when they are on the fields. He keeps going and his servant hides in the caves. Meantime a battle between two brothers is in course. Suddenly a total solar eclipse disperses them and one of the warriors hide inside the cave. The vampire finds him and transforms him soon after the daylight returns and he realizes he broke the vampire rule: In transforming a human into a vampire on daylight. Their blood is not consistent with their clan and they gather daytime powers. They form two clans and separate. The leader returns and speaks of a Prophecy amongst them, of a vampire child who would rule vampires and humans. The vampire child would be a breed of both clans and this should never be allowed. Years pass and a vampire from the Night powers attacks a human living him barely alive. This human survives and carries the blood strain of a vampire. His descendants will inherit this blood, amongst them, a young vampire tracker/slayer carriers the same blood strain. She is observed by the other clan’s tracker who is human but has infusions of a daylight blood strain. They fall in love and a child is born: The child of the prophecy.
