Our Story

The Indonesian Film Festival (IFF) is a non-profit event run by IFF Inc, which is a non-government and non-profit organisation.IFF Inc grew out of the Melbourne University Indonesian Students Association, and it was founded by Ronald Wicaksana. The Indonesian Film Festival is an annual event established in 2006.

The Impact

The Indonesian Film Festival was especially created to boost cultural interaction between regular Australians and Indonesians.  IFF also aims to dispel the somewhat uneasy relationship between Indonesia and Australia, by showing films that are not afraid to openly explore controversial issues and show the Human face of a vastly diverse land that is often missunderstood by the Western World.  This festival will run for 7 days from 19 August 2011 to 25 August 2011 at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) - Melbourne.  The festival program includes a red carpet opening ceremony, seven days of movie screenings, a short film competition, awards night, press conference, meet and greet opportunities with invited prominent film makers, an educational program, as well as free public seminars and film workshops.

What We Need & What You Get

I would like to enlist your support for the continuing success of this event, either through a media partnership or through direct financial sponsorship.  Due to the non-profit and non-government nature of this event it is important to enlist your support in some form or other.
Following on from the overwhelming response to the five previous IFF, the 6th Indonesian Film Festival 2011 will be even larger in scale and more interactive and innovative.
In 2011 it is our plan to screen more movies, and involve more of Indonesia's most prominent film makers.  We are seeking to expand our Indonesian Film Festival to address the interests of the wider Australian community, and add colour to the cultural diversity in Australia.  As Melbourne is a multicultural city, it can offer our supporters a myriad of target markets with varying backgrounds.  This festival will diversify our supporters' public image and recognition in Australia. If you are interested, please contact me and I will send you our PDF with all the sponsorship packages explained in detail.
Every package available can be further negotiated to benefit both parties.
