Rob, a tween-age young man of this generation, has the nerve to ask the big questions – why do we have to learn spelling, if we’re all going to die someday? Enter Mary, an atheist who works at a local religious bookstore, who falls in love with Rob and leads him to exciting new concepts (and more then a few new colorful friends!). Rob encounters Brother Nick, a Christian Youth Minister; Mdme Ballinski, a madame posing as a fortune teller; Bubba, the charismatic head of the Church of the NonBelievers; Rob breaks Mary’s heart when he can’t cope with her ‘secret’, and breaks into a convent she runs to, ‘just to talk’. He is arrested, interrogated by homeland security agents, and tracked. After a bar-fight with a churchlady lands him in ‘Heaven’, Rob is no closer to finding God when he wakes from the near-death experience in the hospital, next to Mary. It’s an irreverent comedy with a spice of romance in an increasingly odd time to live. “In Search of Gog” is fully scripted, and the budget requirements are set at $200K-$1M for the full 24 days of shooting with 38 distinct speaking roles. We are now seeking funds to complete the film with a new cast then the trailer/pilot, and to market the film on the festival circuit.
