Impossible Music Video

The Official Music Video for the 2nd single from Katie Thompson's Album "Impossible".

A Little About Me . . .

West Coast singer/songwriter Katie Thompsons star is most definitely on the rise. This talented Hokitika lass has released two albums in the past three years, was chosen by popular vote to open for Elton John at his only New Zealand show this coming November and shes been nominated for both Female Artist of the Year and the Horizon Award at the 2011 National Country Music Awards.

Katies debut album, Tall Poppy was released in 2009 and the record caught the attention of the international funding website Sellaband, where fans invest in the careers sof their favourite artists, with the aim of helping them hit the US$50,000 needed to record and release an album.

Katie was one of the fastest-ever artists to achieve the funding goal and the resulting album Impossible blends elements of folk, pop and country into a collection of bittersweet and beautiful songs. It was released this year to critical acclaim from even the most hardened music press, who have described her sound as entrancing.

What's Next

Righteo - me talking in first person now!!! Well as you can imagine.... opening for Elton John in November is quite a big deal and I want to make the most of it. Thanks to the beautiful people who helped me with my last IndieGoGo project I was able to make my first music video for "Good As Gold". The single made it's way Classic Hits "As Kiwi As" and has enjoyed airplay throughout the world and the music video has had 3,500+ hits on YouTube.

So this time, I would like to make a music video for the next single "Impossible".

The talented Logan McMillan from Gorilla Pictures will be the director - see Mel Parson's latest music video for "I Won't Let You Down" for examples of his work.

We are planning the video at the moment and as soon as the details are finalised I'll let you know exactly what it's going to look like.

At this stage we will be filming it in Christchurch, New Zealand in early November.

The Impact

To make the biggest impact the release of the single & video should happen at the same time and preferably before November 25th - when I'll be opening for Elton John. Impossible is the strongest track on the album and I feel like it is the one that deserves an amazing music video to get the song out there.

What I Need & What You Get

The standard cost in NZ to make a music video is $5,000.

If there is any money left over it will be used to promote the single.
