| The Story |

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if WE (the U.S.A.) were invaded by another country? What it would be like if we were Invaded by our own Government? In this short film, you will follow the life of Richard, a hard working office manager and family man, who must endure one of the worse case scenarios in America: An INVASION of Government Marshall Law and Reintegration of a New Power.

Our goal is to be able to take the short film after it's been shot (which is what this campaign is for) and expand it into the full Feature Film in mid-2012.

| Our Story |

It is easy to say we are JUST a group of minorities trying to make it in the "Indie Film World", but we're more than that. We are in search to create our own fate and make our mark in the film industry without the help (initially) from the larger studios. With this film, we also seek to help employ jobless motion picture workers that are affected by many of these production companies taking movies to other countries. We strive to continue to be part of the "Bring Filming Back to L.A." movement, and hope to create opportunities for other up-and-coming filmmakers as well as Veterans of the US and to create an avenue for the lesser represented minority filmmaking communities.

The project started when we saw an array of films that had to do with aliens invading the world. After Spielbergs version of WAR OF THE WORLDS (2005), people have been hungry to watch more of this genre of films. Throughout film history, we can see how popular these films are especially with classics such as: THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (1951), WAR OF THE WORLDS (1938 - Radio Broadcast), CLOVERFIELD (2008), and even films like THE LAST MAN ON EARTH (1964). We approached a few filmmakers like ourselves and pitched them this idea. Needless to say they were as excited as we all were to make this type of film, but with a twist.

Growing up, Films have been a huge impact in my life including my time deployed in Iraq. Films helped me escape the reality I lived in by wrapping my imagination around the movie I would view, and this is when I became ever more intrigued with the process of movie making. I wanted to bring an alter-reality to people, whether its by putting them on the edge of their seats, crying for the main character or cheering for happiness. Having the privilege to be onset and bring my creative concepts to life is the greatest feeling in the world. We want to bring diversity, including in the under represented Latin  American community, as well as other minority groups, employ jobless industry workers which including Military Veteran job seekers and, of course, bring you a kick ass action film.

So lets recap. We want to create an awesome action film that will explore the trials and tribulations of family values as well as military values in one of the worst scenarios in America, create jobs for industry workers in a time of need especially in the motion picture industry, and make a name for myself as not only a Latino Film maker but a Veteran, Latino Film Maker with a very talented and diverse cast and crew.

| The Impact |

Being a Hispanic American is hard enough, especially to be successful with so much competition in the film industry. One thing that separates me from other filmmakers is my motivation to help others in the process of the success of my projects. My goal in making this film is not only to make a great action film but also make a film that will bring people together in a great working environment. As a veteran that has served in Iraq, coming home to unemployment is a devastating thing but what I have learned is to follow your dreams and ambitions in order to be what you truly desire to become.

Not meeting our goal will deny us the chance to make a great film that could potentially help us get a FEATURE film contract with a larger studio, therefore providing opportunities for minorities, veterans, women, and Los Angeles local hardworking crew that may not otherwise have the opportunity.

Jeff Reyes (Writer/Producer/Director)

An Army Veteran, who served in Iraq, receiving a Purple Heart during his deployment and then discharged Honorably to become an inspired Filmmaker- His creative concepts are not only the creations of his own style, but also extrapolation of techniques from various film mentors, working in the industry for over 10 years.

Rachel Denis (Producer)

With over 10 years in the entertainment industry, Rachel Denis joins Echosworld ENT. to assemble the best production team possible in order to make this film. A former Power106 and KROQ/AMP/JACK entertainer and production team member, as well as years experience working with Nickelodeon and NBC Universal, Rachel moved on to produce films, music videos, reality shows & commercials. Rachel is more then confident this film will be beyond a success we all expect it to be, and is prided on providing a spotlight for minorities, veterans, women, and up-and-coming actors and crew members.

Bill Davis (Producer/Armorer)

A 30-year film veteran, former policeman and Vietnam Veteran, Bill Davis joins the team to not only be part of the making of this film but also bring his 30 years as weapons specialist and military consultation in order to bring 100% accuracy and realism to the film. This extraordinary filmmaker has made his mark in the industry working on films such as "HEAT", "SAW", "Road To Perdition" and over 300 other films.

Aaron Banks (Co-Producer/VFX)

From a simple gunfight to a complex collapse of a skyscraper, there is nothing Aaron can't visually assemble with his VFX expertise.

Juan Cuevas (Co-Producer/Coordination)

An Army Tanker and Iraq Veteran joins the team with his knowledge of film and logistics. He brings more to the table then just a SCHOOL FILM MAJOR outlook to this film but brings his knowledge with film logistics, SAG relations as well as Military Perceptiveness and realism that this film needs.

| What We Need & What You Get |

For independent filmmakers, much of the funding that goes into a project goes towards logistical and technical costs, such as camera equipment & lighting rentals, meals for cast & crew, location rental costs, wardrobe/makeup/hair & production design costs and kits, and post-production. This is especially true for short films; with the funds that we acquire, we will utilize it to stretch our dollar to make the most of what we have and provide a creative & professional picture.

For this film, we are raising $4,999 to be able to create an effective short that celebrates diversity and will allow us to be able to go through the pitch process to create the feature, which will provide jobs for veterans and Angelenos alike.

Unlike other campaigns, we are not just offering your basic 'Thank you' for donating to our film but also wanting to give you the full experience of the project, a step by step process of the making of this film.
