Our Story

10 months ago William Allinson had the idea for I SPYDERS, a short horror comedy about work/life stress and the peculiar ways it can manifest itself. Lets just say it involves spiders laying eggs in John's (the protagonist) head, which leads to some interesting events. Watch the pitch video above to find out more.

The Importance

More than anything we want to set precedence in Canada about short film funding. We want to show our country that a privately funded short film, without the assistance of grants or government funding is possible. It takes perseverance, hard work and fiscal responsibility. William and I have demonstrated that throughout the last 10 months of campaigning.

What We Need & What You Get

We need your help to close the funding gap for our project. We launched an IndieGoGo campaign 10 months ago and we haven't stopped in our pursuit to meet our $10,000 budget. Now we're in the home stretch, we've hosted countless events in addition to our IndieGoGo campaign to raise almost half of what we need. That's all private funds donated by arts supporters just like you. 

Every donation will get a digital copy of the film and the higher up you go the more credit we give you in the film (either at the beginning or the end credits).

Every cent will go to the necessities of the film: Our equipment costs (RED One package, lighting, grip equipment), shooting space, production design, wardrobe, makeup, animal wrangler and craft services - the most important part!)
