(6 minute trailer) What if all the suffering, pain and 'crap' that you have experienced (or
witnessed) in life were offering you something much deeper, richer and
more profound than expected? What if the tragedy and hardship was
calling to you in a way that redefined and transformed the person you
only imagined yourself to be. In this film House Of Alchemy, filmmakers Michael Lacy and recent cancer survivor, Molly Secours will explore everyday alchemy in progress and
the people who offer refuge to those in search of healingwhether physical,
emotional or spiritual.
Some
of the
individuals we meet have skillfully and accidentally sifted through the
raw
materials of circumstance where early childhood trauma, illness,
disappointment, abuse and heartbreak lay buried.
With
perseverance, grace and often with humor, these conjurers stoke the fires of
humility and creativity and offer the components of transformation to those
embarking on a journey for change.

creative wizards who can purify personal struggles and wounds and transform
suffering into exquisite expressions of health and humanity?How do our own personal nightmares help us become who we are?Can the shrapnel of childhood be used to transform us and offer healing to others?The Impact
Thus far, there has not been a person who has viewed the trailer or read
about the film who hasn't reacted strongly to the idea of Alchemy in
their lives. In fact most of my conversations end with "can I tell you
about something that happened to me?" Perhaps just by witnessing
another's 'moment of alchemy', we might all recognize our own.
What We Need & What You Get
First we need you to send this far and wide--to everyone you know, click the 'like' button, tweet whatever. The more people who see it, the greater our chances.
And 2nd we need you to be a co-producer! We are planning to raise $25,000 toward the total $100,000. budget by the end of October. This next funding phase will
allow us to secure the equipment needed to bump up the production values and continue following the characters you meet in the trailer
for the next several months. Your contributions will allow us to
complete the filming so that these stories of 'alchemy' and
transformation can be shared with everyone. Who knows, perhaps being
involved in this very project will inspire your own moment of alchemy?
