A modern, rip-roaring horror-comedy, in the spirit of Shaun of the Dead, recounts an old Scottish myth with a thirty-something nobody who becomes an heroic somebody amongst a group of twenty-something teens masquerading as backpackers. But their arrival at a remote Highland hotel, run by an inbred family of cannibal chefs, has the group fleeing into the hills, as the hoteliers vye to create the ultimate “Highland Breakfast” using the travellers body parts as the menu de jour.
