Singing a range of originals from the bawdy (I Got a) Silver Beaver to the political Blues for Sharon Bottoms, Saffire-The Uppity Blues Women formed and began touring when they were in their mid-40s. But it wasnt until three years later that definitive blues label Alligator Records released their debut, which became one of the biggest sellers in its history. They have recorded seven CDs, earned three W.C. Handy Blues Awards and shared the stage with Ray Charles, B.B. King, Willie Dixon and KoKo Taylor.

This documentary features Saffires irresistibly enthusiastic performance style, and tells their real life story with its youre never too old to pursue your passions message. It also shows a picture of success that is too seldom seenthree women making a living doing what they love.
