My Story

Hi, my name is Jake Conners. Im 13 years old and going into the 8th grade this next school year. I want to start my own Hot Dog Company and start saving money to go towards my first car and to help pay for my college education.

I plan to start selling hot dogs at my local community pools in the summer time and at the local youth sporting events around town, school & city carnivals, and church events.

I have researched many ideas for starting my own business and besides mowing lawns which is very competitive in my area there are NO hot dog vendors in my area at the locations I'm planning to target.

The American hotdog council estimates that Americans consume 20 Billion hot dogs per year. They are enjoyed by 95% of households. That works out to be 70 hotdogs per person per year. Approximately 15% of these are purchased at American style hotdog vendor carts. The annual sales potential for me in the   area is $ 40,000 per year.

To start up the business I require a hot dog cart, the licenses to sell, health department permits. With the support of my parents along with minimal financial assistance I was led to this website to help raise funds to start my business. I have researched all the hot dog carts out there and have decided that the Willy Dog cart is the one for me! Not only does it provide all the necessary compartments needed it also will stand out from any other competition that I may have.

I'm calling my buisness "Hot Digitty Dogs by Jake"

Here is a list I have put together of what my basic start up costs will be.
