OUR STORY
Hollywood Girl has been something I have been working on, in some form, for about 5 years. It's my labor of love...It started as a book idea, but I always knew I wanted to see it up on the big (or small) screen. Finally, I decided to take my book notes and go for it! Little by little, it has come together, starting with just a few episodes written and a theme song, and evolving into everything you see today. And that's not where it ends, it's only the beginning.... I have lots of plans for Hollywood Girl and I even know how it's going to end! How quickly the series ends, though depends on you, the viewers, and how much HG you want to see!WHY YOU SHOULD CARE
I believe in life, as in the Entertainment Industry, you need to make your own luck, and create your own opportunities. Already, Hollywood Girl has given a few hard working actors a venue to display their talents. It has brought together an extremely talented group of people who believe in the project and enjoy working on it. Isn't that what it's all about? Doing something your passionate about and in return maybe bringing a smile to someone's face or flat out making them laugh out loud? It brings us so much joy to hear people laugh as they watch the pilot episode. Quinn, the main character, is someone everyone can relate to. No matter where they live, or what they do. She is just a girl trying to make it in this world, yet constantly met with some sort of obstacle or roadblock. She's silly & self deprecating, but a good person with lots of heart. And she never gives up. No matter what life throws at her, she keeps going. So maybe it'll offer not just comedy, but a little inspiration too. It is based on real life after all....WHAT WE NEED & WHAT YOU GET
I set my first goal at $2000, because I want to meet it and get moving on Season 1, however, I have about 10 episodes already written for Season 1. I was lucky to get the pilot done by calling in A LOT of favors, and using my own money, but I can only call in so many favors, and let's face it... Like Quinn, I too am a struggling actress. ;)
If you asked me what my REAL goal is over the next 60 days, I would say $7,000-$10,000 for all of Season 1 (that's $700-$1000/episode) and trust me, it goes fast!! All money will be used to pay the crew, any equipment costs, paying to use locations and covering supplies and incidentals. $2000 will get us through the next 2 or 3 episodes, but I am hoping to far exceed that goal over the next 60 days. I would like all of the episodes to be of the same, if not higher caliber then the pilot. For your sponsorship, not only will I be your new best friend lol... but you will get various perks from Hollywood Girl, such as autographed pictures of the cast, a DVD of the pilot, you could be listed as a sponsor in the show, or even a walk on role in an episode!
*Just as a side note, you will get your 'VIP Perk' after the 60 days.
HOW ELSE YOU CAN HELP
If you enjoyed the pilot episode and feel inclined to sponsor, then I thank you from the bottom of my heart! Even if it's $1.00! And you can help by sharing this project with people you think would want to help and would enjoy the show!
