ABOUT:
‘Hick’ is an independent short CG film written and directed by Jess Herman. It is currently being realized by 3D and traditional artists all over the globe.

The plan is to show it in animation and film festivals upon completion and hopefully get some recognition for all the hard work we’re putting into it. The goal is to have it ready to run for March 2011 and we’re well on our way!

STORY:
Joleen is 8 months pregnant when she walks into the local pub for a glass of water to cure her hiccups.
The strange and motley cast of regulars are eager to try out scores of home remedies on their new guinea pig… with startling consequences.

HOW YOU CAN HELP CREATE THIS FILM:
‘Hick’ needs funding!

So far all the financial obligations have been coming out of the pocket of the director, but we’ve managed to keep the budget down to about 300$ due to our fantastic team of volunteering artists. Unfortunately, we’ve recently found out that we’re going to need a bit more moolah (cash, denaro, soldi, bling) from the outside world to keep it afloat. There have been some changes in the www and now we have to pay for our storage space and networking tools, while in the past, with the project just at it’s initial stages, we could take advantage of the free services.

HOW MUCH?!?!:
Any itty bitty or great big amount helps! Even just $9.99 buys us another month of storage space or another month on the network! At the end of the production we’re going to need to have some capital for the festival entry fees which run at about $50-$100 a pop!

We have some PERKS wed like to offer from pins to prints to your name in the credits because we like to give credit where credit is due.
