Hello! We are Gurukitty Studios, we are independent comic creators/publishers and are the people who brought you the popular webcomic Daqueran and Hello, Albertosaurus. If you live in the Vancouver (BC) area you probably have seen us at one or more of the local conventions.
We have been making our rounds locally for about a year, promoting our comics and cute little products, but we have ambitious goals, so weve outgrown the local and small cons. We are ready to move east and try our luck at some of the awesome conventions the rest of Canada has to offer!
We are promoting a new anthology called Ghost Tales soon and we want to give the contributing artists all the exposure we can by taking the book to a bigger convention to get it the biggest audience possible.
So we are hoping we can count on you guys, our readers, fans, friends and random helpful people to help us reach our goal of going to Calgary Expo in 2012. The money will be used toward travel and hotel accommodations, as well as to cover any unexpected travel fees that might pop up (such as overweight bags filled with books to promote).
Of course, we will offer come perks for people who help us reach our goal and if you look to the side you will see a list of donation levels with prizes attached to each one. We dont have a lot of money and we wish we could offer more, but we think the prizes are pretty nifty.
Adding to those prizes we will list all donors on a blog entry once the campaign is over with a huge thank you!
