Our Story

We're ivi (pronounced "ivy") and we are the guys who can finally lower your cable bill. We are fighting a legal battle to give consumers what they have wanted for over a decade, complete Internet television for under $10/mo on any device, anywhere, anytime.

Our Back Story

We launched our ivi TV service¹ late last year on windows, mac, and linux computers, challenging the cable companies head-on. With us you could watch over 70 channels (including ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, The CW, PBS, and more) anywhere in the US over the Internet for less than 10 bucks a month. The largest media and distribution companies do not like competition, have sued us, forced us to stop (but shouldn't have²), and we are appealing that now.

The Impact

Our case is going to decide³ if the Internet will compete with Cable and Satellite. If we win, all popular channels will be able to be carried on the Internet immediately and you can cancel your high cable bill and watch online. If we lose, the Internet will probably never compete directly with Cable and Satellite, and you will be stuck with your current cable company, forever paying outrageous fees for a lot of programming that you probably don't even watch.

Use of Funds

All donations will go towards funding our operations and legal battle to revolutionize television. Everybody at ivi is volunteering to fight for what is right, challenging the largest media and distribution companies to give you an inexpensive Internet alternative to high cable bills.
