THE STORY

20 years in the future the Earth has been devastated by a strange apocalypse that has wiped out most of the world's population.  Infected by an unknown virus, human beings have become flesh eating monsters, killing or infecting anyone they come across.

Escaping to the mountains of Northern California, a small community of survivors have come together to find some semblance of normalcy in a world wrought with danger and death.

When a stranger is found in the woods and brought back to the community he brings with him secrets that could destroy everything.  But is this stranger a threat, or really the key to their survival?

CONCEPT

'Help! I'm Alive...' is an independent web series to be shot in the San Francisco Bay Area.
As an indie project we have utilized IndieGoGo to help us raise production costs via the internet in an effort to maintain the independent nature of the show.

Taking elements from sci-fi, horror, drama, action and even comedy, 'Help! I'm Alive...' has something for everybody.  Horror fans will enjoy the zombie element while sci-fi fans will gravitate towards the post-apocalyptic aspect as well as the science of the show.
Interwoven into the series are moments of humor to break up the intense drama and stress of the storyline and of course action to keep everyone on their toes.

Our goal is to raise enough money to fund the pilot episode, a roughly 30 minute introduction into the world of 'Help! I'm Alive...' that will generate many questions, making viewers anxious for the next episode.

EXPOSURE

In April of 2011 we attended WonderCon in San Francisco, CA where we had a booth and featured a 5 minute teaser that premiered as an exclusive.

The teaser is currently available online and can be seen here:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9VhpXgOZIQ

At our booth we also set up props from the teaser, gave away promotional postcards and had a raffle.
Thousands of people came by our booth and saw the teaser and we had hundreds of entries in our raffle.  We were interviewed by multiple web blogs and internet radio shows including VInce in the Bay and Geek Speak Radio, both of whom have since featured 'Help! I'm Alive...' many times on their shows.

Also at our WonderCon booth were a bevy of "booth babes" who wandered the convention floor all 3 days (some made up as zombies) wearing our 'HELP! I'M ALIVE" t-shirts and posing with pictures of WonderCon attendees
(as seen in the photos above).

A previous IndieGoGo campaign was held earlier this year and raised just over $1,000.00.  Most of this money has yet to be used, but it is still not enough to cover the production costs for the pilot episode.
The previous IndieGoGo campaign was advertised on Kevin Smith's podcast, 'Plus One Per Diem', where our ad was read by Smith himself who commented that the show seemed "very ambitious".

OUR GOAL

As an independent production we are looking to create a show that does not follow the traditional norms of conventional television -- neither network or cable -- and instead produce a series that takes risks, explores new story ideas and gives the viewer more bang for their buck.
By remaining independent and not having to conform to any preconceived rules, regulations or restrictions, we are able to tell this story the way we want.

By being here on IndieGoGo we are asking you, the viewing audience, to join us on this journey and be a part of creating something new and exciting.
All of us have poured our blood, sweat and paychecks into the project thus far, but it's just not enough.

Please check out our perks and know that you'll be getting something for your contribution.

BUT, these are tough times and we know that not everybody can pitch in.
For those of you unable to contribute any money we simply ask you to share the IndieGoGo link on your Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, blogs, forums and anywhere else you can let people know about us.

Thanks for taking the time to check out the show and we look forward to bringing you 'Help! I'm Alive...' by the end of the year.
