Our Story

Three of the members of Mayan Fox are related. We've been racking our brains trying to work out how we can get to Canada to see our beautiful Cousin who has been given only months to live. Then we remembered we have a band. BAND TOUR TO CANADA plan was born. So Mayan Fox have applied to play at NXNE (one of the biggest music conferences in the world) and are in the process of planning the rest of the tour. As we are an independent band everything we do is self, family and friends funded. So far we've released an album, toured NZ and played some incredible slots at festivals.

The Impact

We're hoping to WOW crowds throughout Canada with our infectious music and passion for playing live. We are also excited at the prospect of playing to loads of family and friends in Canada, especially our cousin Roxy.

What We Need & What You Get

We are engaging in local fundraising for our flights and extras and are hoping to raise enough on indiegogo to get us around while we are in Canada.  We have number crunched, and will need $5000 for our tour vehicle, petrol and accommodation. Anything on top (yes we're being optimistic) will help with flight costs as we are trying to raise this individually instead of as a band! If we don't quite make our goal on indiegogo, we will still go ahead with the tour, but will have to do a lot more work locally, to cover it.

We are happy to sing and write you songs, send you albums, t-shirts and thank you cards for the support you give us :) Not to mention a play by play on all our activities. It's our adventure that you are all invited to be a part of!
