Our Story
Ellie DeSilva CEO, President and Founder, Indigo Rhythms
Ellie DeSilva is an Animal Intuitive Healer, Clairvoyant, CBP, CAP, CFP, CHt, CCMBA Instructor, Breakthrough Facilitator, Reiki Master, with a background in homeopathic and holistic intuitive medicine. She has been working with animal rescues around the world, including the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, the Millennium Elephant Foundation in Sri Lanka, the Cetacean Society International in Hawaii, the Three Ring Ranch in Hawaii, Rainbow Friends in Hawaii and Karma Rescue here in California. Ellie has studied a multitude of modalities from shamans all across the globe, taking a little bit from everything she has learned, and applying it to the work she does with the animals and their people.
In her experience, Ellie have learned that we ALL need to release whatever traumas have been programmed into our bodies. If we do not, we could become very sick, and/or even die.
After a dog has been in a scuffle, it will shake to release the imprint that has been left behind from that fight. If a deer has been chased by a lion and manages to escape, it will shake from head to tail, and then go back to grazing. It is a basic instinct to release the energies that are a result of these traumatic experiences. But when this natural process is disrupted, "dis-ease" is the result, because the body's natural course of healing has been disturbed.
At Indigo Rhythms, we address all of these connections. We specialize in working with animal rescues and their "rescuers," as well as with people and their pets. It is of vital importance to work with the entire matrix, as each part affects the other, in bringing balance back to the whole.
Once a year, Ellie journeys back to Kenya to do healing work with the wildlife orphans and human keepers at the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Over the years, the number of orphans has increased dramatically, due to the lifted ban on poaching. As a result, the healing work she does is even more necessary than ever before. This year, Ellie will also be working with the Kenya Wildlife Services, to do whatever she can to help the wildlife at the Nairobi orphanage, just down the road from the Sheldrick Trust.
For the past six years, Ellie has fully funded her own travels, while donating all of her work for free. As these expenses continue to rise each year, it gets harder and harder to afford these costs. But she is, nevertheless, being guided to go.
As we are in the process of forming our non-profit for this cause, we are seeing the importance of receiving funds from others who are wanting to assist us in these endeavors. And we are grateful to all those who are willing to help.
