We did it! Our first fundraising campaign on IndieGoGo was a huge success. The film isn’t fully funded – or competed – so we still need you support! To view the clip and to make a donation visit http://www.indiegogo.com/Hava-Nagila-What-Is-It....
With support from past IndieGoGo donors we have filmed several key interviews and launched this project! Thank you and keep tuning in to watch the project grow!
Thank you for your donations! What an incredible show of support for Hava Nagilah: What Is It?
Because of your generous donations, we will be filming in July with celebrities and other Hava luminaries. Stay tuned for updates. For more information on the film, please go to www.katahdin.org.
Amazing – we reached our $12,000 goal today! Thank you to everyone who donated. Stay tuned for a new campaign to launch next week! Thanks so much for your support. Hava Nice Day!

Wow! We’ve nearly tripled our fundraising goal and the momentum continues!!! If everyone who visited the site gave $10, the film would be fully funded today!
The response to the Indiegogo appeal has been so exciting! Because of your donations, yesterday, Monday, May 17th, I interviewed Professor Seroussi in Berkeley. He talked about music as being the most human endeavor of all, expressing everything from danger to love. He said that Hava is a “marker” of Jewishness to both Jews and non-Jews alike who hear it. But more than that, it is one of those rare songs that becomes a world-wide hit.
Today, Tuesday, May 18th – I’m driving to San Diego to interview Idelsohn’s granddaughters who are visiting from Australia.
We reached the $3,000 goal to film Edwin Seroussi. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed!!!
We are now in a dash to raise $3,000 to film the granddaughters of A.Z. Idelsohn, the man who wrote Hava Nagilah. They live in Australia and will be in San Diego for four days next week. A fantastic opportunity for the film!!
