Our Story

Hallowscream is a global horror comic that brings artists and writers together from around the world. The project is open to both amateur and professional comic creators and you can see the mix of styles and stories for yourself in the first two issues. Visit the Hallowscream website to view the 2009 and 2010 issues of Hallowscream.

In March of this year we announced details of Hallowscream 2011 on various platforms around the internet. From that announcement we received loads of stories from eager horror writers all looking to see their work appear in an online comic. Some of these terrifying tales were already in script format while others arrived as spooky short stories or even petrifying poems. We were then able to match these stories to comic artists who had answered our call and wanted to be a part of Hallowscream.  We also received a few completed horror strips from existing comic creators which had yet to be published. This year's issue features the work of contributors from America, Australia, UK (where it all began) and the rest of Europe!

Do Fear The ReaperDoing it for the Love

Hallowscream started as a fun project for a group of friends who wanted to make a comic but has since grown to so much more. While the 2011 issue still includes contributions from founder members we have opened the door to other horror lovers who want to be part of an indie comic. This has strengthened the quality and made for a more interesting blend of horror. Take a look at Back from the Depths to see where it all began.

It would be wonderful to be able to supply the artists and writers who have given their time and energy with a real copy of the comic they can hold, love, show their friends and family and pass on to their grandchildren.

What We Need & What You Get

We are looking to raise enough money to supply each writer and artist of the stories that appeared in all 3 issues with their own printed copy of whichever issue they contributed to. We also need to cover the postage cost to send out these copies.

If the full target is not reached then the campaign will be cancelled and this fang-tastic comic will not be printed. It's all or nothing by October 31st.

Should the target be passed any remaining money will be used to print the 2012 issue, which you are all welcome to submit your own horror stories and art work when details are announced.

Everyone who contributes to this campaign will receive a printed copy of Hallowscream 2011 with their name included on the credits page. There are other special rewards for higher contributions which you can see on the right of this page. The Hallowscream T-Shirt is a thing of beauty and will probably take pride of place in your wardrobe. The limited edition hardback copy of Hallowscream 2011 is a rarity while the unique 3 issue hardback copy of Hallowscream will be the only one in existence with a special thank you page dedicated to the yourself.

Unique and beautiful rewards
