Our Story
Hello.
We are a group of indie filmmakers who have set out to produce a web series called 'Help! I'm Alive...'.
The show centers around a group of survivors living in the mountains of Northern California 20 years after a strange apocalypse wipes out 75% of the world's population.
Our survivors' lives are interrupted when a stranger suddenly appears, bringing with him a secret that not only threatens their lives, but may also hold the key to understanding what brought the world to an end so many years ago.
Our Crew
Anthony Larice is the creator, executive producer and writer and has already written 13 episodes for Season 1 of 'Help! I'm Alive...'. Having studied acting and worked as an actor on other people's projects, Anthony's vision and drive to create his own show has been paramount in bringing this project to life. He also portrays the story's main character, 'Loryn'.
Justin Berger is the director and co-producer of the show. Producing and directing music videos and web-based content for years via his own HKL Films, Justin's experience and skills have been integral in the show's development. Bringing a high level of dedication and passion, Justin makes sure that every aspect of the project maintains a high standard of quality and professionalism.
Andrew Fassler is a co-producer and actor in the series. Andrew's acting skills are enhanced by his experience with stand-up which has helped him develop a knack for improv. In addition to playing a part in Season 2, Andrew has been a key contributor in the show's successful marketing and promotion campaign.
David Schatanoff is also a co-producer on the project and brings with him experience and skills in independent film production. More than just a producer, David is very hands on in the post-production process including sound design and visual f/x. He currently works at Sony Pictures as well as his own D Studios production company.
All four of us have a love of filmmaking and are a part of this project because we believe in it. We feel that this show can be as good, if not better, than any series you will see on television.
While we have all come out of pocket for the show's expenses thus far, we can only do so much on our own. That's where you all come in.
The Impact
What we intend to bring to the table with 'Help! I'm Alive...' is a web series that breaks boundaries and raises the bar for web-based entertainment. Our goal is to create a show with high production value at an affordable cost with a solid storyline and something for everyone.
Given the show's ensemble cast and variety of characters, we feel that everyone will be able to identify with one or more of the characters.
There will be action, romance, horror, sci-fi, humor, mystery and more.
Like real life, we want this show to reflect all the aspects of the human condition -- especially when people are put in to difficult and sometimes impossible situations.
Our goal is to also use 'Help! I'm Alive...' as a vehicle to promote and support charities and causes by donating a percentage of the show's profits.
What We Need & What You Get
Why we're here on IndieGoGo is simple -- we are an independent production and do not have enough money to make the show the way we want -- the way it should be.Production costs are not cheap and the last thing we want to do is skimp on making this series the best it can be.
We are asking for $10,000.00 to film the first 5 episodes of Season 1. This money will be going towards paying the cast and crew, equipment rental, post-production costs (including editing, sound design, visual f/x and scoring), publicity and more.
We are happy to offer a variety of perks to give you something tangible for your contribution. These perks are listed to the right and include HIA t-shirts, producer credits, walk-on roles, autographed merchandise, VIP access and much more!
As a contributor, know that your money is going straight into the production.
Other Ways You Can Help
The best way that you can help, whether you're contributing financially or not, is to spread the word about the series. Tell people about us, about our project and our IndieGoGo campaign.
Post our campaign widget on your social networking sites and follow us on Facebook and Twitter and visit our website, www.HelpImAlive.tv for the latest content and updates.
