The Story
The morning after Halloween, Richie and Donny find something by the bay.
The Impact
This is Ben's first film in the NYU graduate film program. Previous films Ben has directed, written or DPed have won the David C. Magid Memorial Prize in Cinematography, Best College Short at the Connecticut Film Festival, Best Short Documentary at the Coney Island Film Festival, and the Grand Prize Winner of the Apple Insomnia Film Festival. His films have also been official selections at the Anchorage International FF, deadCENTER FF, Columbia University National Undergraduate FF, Big Apple FF, and New Filmmakers Showcase at Anthology Film Archives.
The film will be photographed in 16mm by fellow NYU graduate student Anna Stypko. 16mm stock is quite expensive and the processing and transfers make the costs even more steep. Further funds will be used for New York City permits, costumes (remember, it's Halloween), feeding and transporting the cast and crew. Here is a breakdown of how the money will be used:
Raw Film Stock: $200
Development/Transfer: $500
Truck Rental: $100
Costumes/Props: $100
Craft Services: $200
City Permit: $50
Even if 50 people donate $10, we will reach our goal!
All of our equipment is generously being provided by the NYU Graduate Film Department and all of our crew and talent are working for free. If you can find it in your heart to donate, we all will be indebted to you forever.
