ABOUT

Five friends open a comic book store only to find out that business is hard to come by. Suddenly, an idea comes to light. With a little spray paint and a few cents, the local homeless can become walking advertisements. Things seem to be working out well for the comic book store until the homeless begin taking refuge outside the store, scaring away customers, and a nearby sandwich restaurant, owned by their high school rival, opens up and begins to poach what little business the comic shop has left. The five friends plot to rid the comic shop of the homeless infestation and to get revenge against their old high school rival. With laughs along the whole way, it all comes to a hilarious conclusion in “Graphic Novelty: Open for Business.”

WHAT MAKES THIS PROJECT DIFFERENT
Although this is a pilot to a situation comedy, it can also work as a stand alone short film. It has the perfect blend of social commentary, high and low brow humor, lovable and laughable characters, and an absurdity that never goes overboard.
