In the not too distant future, the Political Correctness movement has mutated into a force governed by intolerance and hypersensitivity. Humor, spun in the media to be the source of racism, sexism, and political exposure, has become the primary scapegoat.

Elmore Caper is a high ranking Executive in the Commission for Moral Order, a government division whose primary responsibility is to wipe out any remaining forms of humor in this society.

The rub: he’s addicted to humor. He seeks out a young comedienne named Anabell, who feeds this addiction to the fullest.

Unfortunately, after a string of Humorist “extractions”, Elmore fears that he is about to become a suspect.

New leads have revealed a potential leader to the Underground Humorist Movement, a mysterious man named Ren Plum. Elmore is assigned to the case.

Hiding the truth from his domineering wife, his colleagues, and the half-crazed Commissioner, Elmore struggles to maintain his role at the Commission.

When the Commission learns of a secret comedy convention, a meeting of all the greatest Humorists, Elmore must decide whether to help the Humorist Movement, or clear his name and wipe out humor once and for all.
