Gliese 581 C/D are Red Dwarf planets that were discovered in the last couple of years that initially looked capable of sustaining life. G581 C has eliminated from the list, but G581D is still being investigated. Gliese 581 C/D is also the name of this epic adventure fantasy feature animation and graphic novel.

What do you think it would be like to find out that there was in fact life on a planet not that far from here? Would it be interesting to know that the inhabitants were all anthropomorphic characters and primarily female? Would it be interesting to know that there were multiple societies all with differing levels of technology and science? Would it be interesting to see how animal/humanoid societies might be the same as ours and how they would be different? Would it be interesting to know that all of their species seem to mirror animal species from the continent of Africa, the Arabia peninsula and surrounding islands? Would it be interesting to know that the main society that we (the audience) experienced this new world through is a SteamPunk (futuristic Victorian Era) Society?

The personal story here will follow the the development of a woman warrior that’s an alien in her own society. (Atlantis submerged aquatic society) She is unlike the rest of the species around her, but has managed and become and invaluable part of society. She finds mate, but loses him to unknown causes. There are visions that compel her to leave the confines of her society. She doesn’t believe in visions or anything else paranormal have doesn’t have any interest in leaving as she’s just built a niche for herself. What will she do and why?

The exploration of these elements and answering of these questions are what Gliese 581 C/D is.
