The Story

George, Vicky and Nelly are close friends who decide to visit an abandoned house, supposedly haunted by a ghost. The ghost himself, once famous war hero, is truly excited to see them, for no other human has entered into the house for many years. He sees in this unexpected visit an opportunity to have some fun, scaring the living daylights out of the youngsters. Ironically, however, the three friends are barely impressed when meeting him. Perhaps the explanation lies in the joint theyve smoked right before entering the house, but this little detail remains unknown to our onetime war hero. Impressed by their bravery, the ghost invites them to be his guests for the night.

With the invitation excepted, our three heroes invite some of their friends and in a matter of no time a wild party overwhelms the house. The ultra-modern house-music comes a bit too much for the ghost and he leaves the house. Minutes later his wife, now also a ghost, walks in. The two of them are close to lose each other forever... But not on this night. This night is special. A party night, which will bring the onetime couple together again.

About The Film

Ghostly Invitation has a duration of 17 minutes and was shot in Bulgaria with a digital Red One camera and by a professional film crew. We also have an amazing cast, led by Deyan Donkov - this year's winner of the award for Best Theatrical Actor, who plays the ghost. We were also fortunate to have the American actress CC Perkinson, playing the ghost's wife. The three key actors were brilliant too, as well as the supporting actors all of them students of the National Academy for Cinema and Theater.

Doing well at film festivals and competitions, being broadcast on TV and, above all, winning the heart of the audience.

What we need and what you get!

The film is completely finished and no scenes remain to be shot. The editing is also finished, as well as the original house-music, used during the party scenes. However, the money for the editing are still due. We are utterly grateful to the editing studio for letting us finish our work, using their editor - a true professional with much experience in cinema and television. The studio has put their faith in us in paying them as soon as possible.

Unfortunately we went over the budget, finding ourselves with no money to finish the film. Besides the editing, we need to pay for the forthcoming color and sound correction, various special effects (a key factor in some scenes), festival fees and original music (this one is different from the house-music we already have, and here we will either search for a composer or pay the rights for an original score). As of now, we have calculated that we need round about $6,000 to be able to finish the film properly. Each and every dollar above, shall be spent on sound/color improvement and festival applications/attending.

Okay, we are going to let you on a little secret here from its very beginning the production of this film has been a No to Yes situation. Almost nothing happened as intended. The obstacles however inspired us to search for other solutions and those solutions always turned out to be the better ones.

So, here we are, having another obstacle we can't finish the film! Which led us to the idea of finishing it together with you, so that it becomes OUR FILM!

Zara Dimitrova Executive and lead actress. Charming and easygoing. A visionary and a practitioner. You don't get to see people like her every day.

Deyan Donkov Among the most famous and top-rated Bulgarian actors as we speak. Now, he really does not sleep at all or at least this is the feeling you get! A workaholic, he loves equally the stage, the camera and the audience. And they love him back.

Yana Kuzova Stunning! Energetic, positive and always nice. A Bulgarian actress who just graduated the Academy for Theater and Film, she is a perfect representative of the nowadays generation of actors who will be recognized by the Future as the most successful one.

Plamen Dimov still student in the Academy, young, not easy going :) but very professional. He can always deliver this quality of his and that's what counts at the end of the day.

Momchil Alexandrov Spanish school Bulgarian Filmmaker and Cinematographer. Not easy going at all, and I mean at all :) but his professional skills made him indispensable. He is one of the foundations of this film.

Niko Bulgari MA in Literature, books author and screenwriter, his knowledge of filmmaking is not academic. It comes from persistent and parallel study of the art... all his life.

Malte Moller DJ Roxta. German school German DJ :) and a music producer. You can always rely on his professionalism. He's almost as good with computers as with the music.
