Our Story

One day while waiting for my car to get an oil change I watched all the cars driving around Burbank CA, and I wondered what the people inside those cars were thinking?

Were they heartbroken - and listening the saddest song on the radio? Did they just book that first gig - and were calling everyone they had ever met (hands free of course!).  Were they racing to get their kids to that all important soccer practice?

And then I thought - what kind of negotiation were those people having with the Universe at that particular moment? Did 'heartbroken' beg God to let them hear from their love one more time?  Did 'recently employed' thank the Universe for their good fortune? Was Mom praying to the Traffic Light Deity to have the green lights go her way?

Then I wondered, who fields all those calls?  There must be someone out there listening.  I wondered what it would be like to be sitting in those cars AS that entity, listening to our requests, hopes, and heartbreaks.

Anyway, combine that weird moment at an oil change and with my love of astrology, ancient alien theory and Sci-fi nerd-ery (plus a great collaboration with Mike Greischar at Panera Bread) and a year later we are going into production on Season One of GUIDES.


GUIDES is a SciFi office comedy about the Universe's Los Angeles Guidance Office. The LA Guides office is just one of the Alien offices worldwide, tasked with the ongoing assignment of preparing the Earth and it's inhabitants for 2012 and hopefully beyond. What could possibly go wrong?


The Impact

Hmmmm the Impact. Well I doubt the world would end if we don't get GUIDES produced but I can't promise you anything either.


GUIDES is a Comedy. Hopefully it will make you laugh and with good comedy maybe think a little differently as well. And if not, at least laugh out loud once or twice over the course of 5 episodes.


Ultimately, we are hoping 'The Impact' of GUIDES seeing the light of the interwebs is that we tell a different Alien story. A different 2012 story. A different SciFi story. But ultimately a Good Fun Story.

Our goal is to shoot our first five (5) episodes over 2 weekends and we need your help to make this a reality!

Okay, so now you've donated, because really, you just need to see how we combine Astrology, Ancient Alien Theory and Comedy into a 5 episode webseries.

Here is where your money will go:

#1: Locations, permits and insurance are our biggest and most needed expenses - the LA GUIDES office, needs an office! 
#2: After those are covered it's on to equipment rental and crew. Camera, lighting and sound packages - and the people to make it all work right!
#3: Then we need wardrobe, hair and make up - we're making a SciFi show w aliens....we kind of hope  to look the part! 
#4: Props/Set Decoration etc. 
#5: Food. A well fed crew is a happy crew (especially if you're not paying them very much!)
#6: Post Production. Editing and some special effects! 
#7: When all is said and done if we can raise the full $8000 we can actually pay everyone a small stipend for working on GUIDES! YAY!!
