Gallino, The Chicken System is the fourth underground feature movie written and directed by Carlos Atanes. It's about a strange meeting at night in a poultry store lost in Antarctica. A story full of lechery, sarcasm, extravagance, impossible geometries, discovery of existence's hidden sides and a pinch of Magick. As it is usual in Carlos Atanes' filmography, "Gallino" is an unclassifiable film, with no genre, an amazing immersion into diffuse cracks between dream and reality. A multi-layer matryoshka doll programmed for spreading out in the viewer's unconscious.?

Why do we use Crowdfunding?
"Gallino" is a low budget film. We make ultra-independent films, we like it and we want to continue doing so. That is why we seek alternative funding sources that allow us to make our movies the way we want. We are not interested neither in fashion nor aesthetics/political correctness. We do not excuse ourselves for making what we do and we do not claim assistance to those who are not interested in what we do. The perfect way to achieve it is to turn to the people who understand us and want to we keep working. The crowd funding method allows us to establish a feedback between filmmakers and audience that benefits us both because the viewer contributes directly to materialize the work which he wish to watch.

What do we need? 
The shooting of Gallino will take place during october and november 2011. The funds raised with this campaign will be entirely assigned to the expenses of the Gallinos filming; specifically, the rent of the camera and lighting; the set decoration and the wardrobe. In case we get much money that we have fixed as the goal in this campaign, well earmark to pay travels, accommodation and maintenance of the Cast and Crew, if necessary. Through this crowd funding account in indiegogo youll be able to cooperate within your means and help us to give birth to this weird, but desired, creature. Qu es "Gallino, The Chicken System"?

"Gallino" es un largometraje independiente escrito y dirigido por Carlos Atanes acerca de un extrao encuentro nocturno en una pollera perdida en la Antrtida. Una historia rebosante de lujuria, sarcasmo, extravagancia, geometras imposibles, viajes a rincones ocultos de la existencia y unas gotas de Magia (K). Como es habitual en el cine de Atanes, "Gallino" es una pelcula inclasificable, una sorprendente inmersin en las grietas difusas que hay entre el sueo y la realidad. Una mueca matrioska de muchas capas programada para desplegarse en el inconsciente del espectador.

La forma ms perfecta de lograr esto es recurriendo a las personas que nos entienden y desean que sigamos trabajando. El mtodo del crowdfunding -financiacin a travs de mltiples pequeas aportaciones- nos permite establecer un vnculo de retroalimentacin entre cineasta y pblico que beneficia a ambas partes porque el espectador contribuye directamente a que se materialice la obra que desea ver. 

El rodaje de Gallino se realizar durante los meses de septiembre, octubre  y noviembre de 2011. Los fondos obtenidos a travs de esta campaa se destinarn en su totalidad a cubrir los gastos de rodaje; concretamente, alquiler de equipo de cmara e iluminacin; alquiler de set/plat de rodaje as como adquisicin o alquiler de elementos de decoracin y vestuario. En caso de sobrepasar la cantidad establecida como goal, el excedente se dedicar a financiar los traslados, alojamiento y manutencin del equipo.
